About the Program
West High School is proud to offer dance. The Iowa Dance and Drill Team Association sanctions cheer competitions and events throughout the state of Iowa. Through involvement in athletics, students learn valuable life skills, including teamwork, leadership, and commitment.
Notable Achievements
- 2020- State Dance- 3rd place Hoopla, 7th place Hip Hop, Superior rating for Prop
- 2020- State Solo Competition- Two superior ratings- Keke King and Chloe Barcus
- 2020- All-in Dance Championships- High Gold Hip Hop, First place Overall Team Hip Hop
- 2020- Diamond Dance- Second place overall Senior Team

Jenna’s philosophy is to nurture personal growth on the team through lessons that will last a lifetime. The West Dance Team is a safe community where dancers are free to learn and explore every single day.
